Why I joined ΣΑΖ: Coming to college I told myself that I was not going to join a sorority because of the stereotypes that movies would show but that was before I joined Sigma Alpha Zeta. Sigma Alpha Zeta is a home away from home. It has helped me boost my confidence and be a strong Sigma Woman. I have gained leadership skills

Why ΣAZ? I don’t think I would’ve found a group of more supportive and loyal women anywhere else. Everything felt right from the moment I was starting the process with ΣAZ and I knew this is where I wanted to be. I am so grateful to be surrounded by beautiful, loving, and strong women and to be one of them myself. Till the end.

Why ΣΑΖ? Why not?? I wanted to do something I normally wouldn’t do. I went to their informational and I got hooked. I loved their confidence and how they made their presence known. Their pillars and concepts were very important to me and I loved how they focused on women empowerment. Along the way, I met strong minded women that have pushed me to surpass my limits. The relationships I’ve made are so full of support, laughter, trust, and honesty and I wouldn’t trade this for anything.

Why ΣAZ? I chose to join a sorority to find a home away from home. Everything about Sigma Alpha Zeta stood out to me and I became determined to join.
Academics, community service, and sisterhood are all things I care for which ignited my passion for SAZ. Since becoming a sister, I have grown as a person to become a strong, professional, and caring Sigma sister. I truly see myself growing much further with ΣAZ & I can’t wait to begin the journey.

What has ΣΑΖ taught you: Coming to San Jose as a transfer student I didn’t really know anyone so establishing friendships was hard not only in the classroom but also outside. What ΣΑΖ has taught me is to push myself out of my comfort zone by always keeping an open mind. Gaining confidence has been one of the accomplishments that have been made possible thanks to the support I receive from my sisters. What I have also learned through ΣΑΖ is that contribution comes in anyway shape or form because it’s not always about the quantity but the quality.
